San4San
Blood for blood.
S4S wasn't born on Pump. It was born from a neighborhood, a Creole phrase, and a game that put Haiti on the map of Vice City twenty years ago.
S4SLIFE01 — The Name
Zo is bone. San is blood.
In Haitian Creole, zo means bone. San means blood.
Zoe Pound, the real-world reference in Miami, saw itself as hard to the bone. San4San flips bone for blood. San 4 San. S4S. Blood for blood. The 4 still echoes the original name's pound for pound.
In GTA VI the name shows up on a chain around a neck, on a mural in La Perle, and in the abbreviation S4S. Outside the game, it's the token's ticker. This page exists so the two don't blur together without context.
02 — Real Life
Little Haiti isn't scenery. It's a city.
Starting in the 1960s–80s, Haitians fleeing the Duvalier dictatorships settled in north Miami. The old Lemon City became Little Haiti: Creole on the sidewalk, vodou and churches on the same block, market stalls, kompa, murals. Also poverty, stigma, and a city that treated the newly arrived as a problem.
Zoe Pound emerges from that ground in 1990. It starts as self-defense for young Haitians getting jumped for being Haitian. Within a few years the group splits: one side tries music, the other becomes a criminal organization — trafficking along the Haiti–Miami corridor, piracy on the river and port, racketeering. There were federal arrests. It remains a real faction, not trailer legend.
This page cites Zoe Pound because Rockstar evidently drew from that source. It doesn't cite it to celebrate it.
- 1990 · Founded in Miami
- zo · bone in Creole
- Little Haiti · the map that becomes La Perle
03 — Vice City, 1986
1986: the Haitians were already on the map.
In GTA Vice City, the Haitian gang controls Little Haiti, rivals the Cubans of Little Havana, and answers to Auntie Poulet — a caricatured vodou matriarch, a drug factory in the ghetto, a RELAX shirt, a blue bandana, a Voodoo car.
Tommy Vercetti wades into the war, kills the gang lord disguised as a Cuban, then blows up the factory in Trojan Voodoo. From there, the neighborhood shoots at whoever shows up.
Rockstar built this archetype four years before Zoe Pound actually existed. Haitian immigrant, poor territory, drugs, ethnic rivalry, vodou flavor. San4San in GTA VI is the same blueprint, pulled into the 2020s.
04 — GTA VI
La Perle. S4SLIFE.
Leonida is GTA VI's Florida. La Perle is Little Haiti. San4San is the Haitian gang running that stretch of it.
What the game has shown so far, without inventing the rest:
- Trailer 1 — a custom car meetup and a man wearing an S4S chain. The same clip carries a Sound4Sound label sticker.
- Trailer 2 — a Haitian mural on the La Perle warehouse: a map of Haiti, a crest, Ayisyen fyè, proud Haitian.
- 2022 leaks — world events named San 4 San and S4S: drug house, rare shoes, thrift, gas station.
- Extended Look, 2026 — a gang member in the opening.
Official colors, bosses, and missions — Rockstar hasn't published them yet. Until the game ships, this page's lore stops here. Anything past that is fanfic, and fanfic doesn't get in.
05 — Comparison
Three layers. Same neighborhood.
Real life, 1986's Vice City, and today's GTA VI aren't the same thing. They're three versions of one pressure: arriving Haitian in a city that already had an owner.

06 — Culture
What the page can inherit without turning into fantasy.
Blue and red flag. A mural with a palm tree and a cannon. Creole on the wall. A chain around the neck. A lowered car on hot asphalt. A label that lives in the same neighborhood the police box in under the overpass.
That's the visual language of Haitian Miami and modern Vice City. It works for the site. A gun in close-up, an inmate's name, and a "set crest" don't.
Sound4Sound, in-game, echoes the musical arm Zoe Pound tried in 1995. If the token ever has sound, let it be kompa, Miami bass, or licensed Florida rap — not a faction jingle.
Read this.
San4San / S4S in GTA VI is fiction from Rockstar Games. Zoe Pound is a real criminal organization, investigated and prosecuted. Little Haiti is a lived-in neighborhood, not a skin.
This page documents origin and cultural parallel for the S4S token. It doesn't represent Rockstar, doesn't represent the Haitian community as a whole, and isn't an invitation to crime. Grand Theft Auto is a trademark of Take-Two Interactive / Rockstar Games.
